The impact of cyanobacterial bloom on the microbial planktonic community of the Kuibyshev reservoir

Metabarcoding of the V4 region of 16S and 18S rRNA was used to study the influence of the intensity and species composition of cyanobacterial blooms on the structure of the microbial plankton community. Samples were collected from the surface layer of several stations in the lower part of Kuibyshev Reservoir (Volga River) and three bays in june to august 2023, before and during the cyanobacterial bloom.
