The data collected in this project arose from a collective survey initiated by the Communication in the Digital Society initiative, which involved approximately 15 ASCoR researchers with related research interests. It was aimed at understanding the use of and attitude towards digital communication technologies among the Dutch population, including topics of algorithms, search engines, social media, smart speakers, and surveillance, and how these relate to political, media and sociodemographic characteristics. Further information regarding the survey is available at https://osf.io/yu64r/.Our specific project used this larger survey and analysed<i> N</i> = 187 filtered self-reports of Dutch parents. <br><br><br><br><br>
