墨脱布设的固态发射机体制的Ka波段毫米波云雷达是由中国气象科学研究院与安徽四创电子股份有限公司联合研发的,Ka波段毫米波云雷达的工作波长为8 mm,垂直观测,采用脉冲压缩、相干和非相干积累等技术,采用了四种观测模式(降水模式、边界层模式、中高层模式、卷云模式)的交替循环观测。可以获得设备上方的云和弱降水的宏观和微观物理特征信息。毫米波雷达探测量对于研究云和降水物理过程、了解不同地区云降水特点、反演云降水微物理参数等方面具有重要作用。该部云雷达除了因电力、网络和通讯等因素引起的观测中断外,从2019年初开始一直连续观测,数据格式为netcdf格式。

The Ka-band millimeter-wave cloud radar with solid-state transmitter system deployed in Motuo was jointly developed by the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences and Anhui Sichuang Electronics Co., Ltd. Operating at a wavelength of 8 mm, this radar conducts vertical observations, adopting technologies including pulse compression, coherent and non-coherent integration, and implements alternating cyclic observations across four observation modes: precipitation mode, boundary layer mode, middle and upper troposphere mode, and cirrus mode. It can acquire macroscopic and microscopic physical characteristic information of clouds and weak precipitation above the radar. The observations from this millimeter-wave radar play a critical role in researching physical processes of clouds and precipitation, comprehending the characteristics of cloud-precipitation systems in different regions, and retrieving microphysical parameters of clouds and precipitation, among other relevant research directions. Except for observation interruptions caused by factors such as power supply, network and communication failures, this cloud radar has maintained continuous observations since early 2019, with its data stored in netCDF format.
