SDG 17.3.2 Personal remittances received as a proportion of GDP

This dataset reports personal remittances received by Qatar as a percentage of gross domestic product (GDP). Personal remittances are the sum of personal transfers between resident and non-resident households and compensation of employees earned by border, seasonal and other short-term workers in economies where they are not resident. The indicator is calculated by dividing personal remittance inflows by GDP and multiplying by 100. A value of 0.50 therefore means remittance inflows equivalent to 0.50 per cent of GDP. The series is based on IMF balance-of-payments data, supplemented where necessary by World Bank staff estimates, and World Bank/OECD GDP estimates.
