INSPIRE-WMS Production and Industrial Facilities / Site Overview for Exploration, Extraction and Storage Mining BB

The interoperable INSPIRE WMS is a display service that displays data in the annex schema of production and industrial plants (derived from the original data set: Operations overview for the exploration, extraction and storage mining of Brandenburg). It provides an overview of the locations of exploration, extraction, remediation and storage mining operations in Brandenburg and Berlin, divided into lignite mining, rock and earth mining, well mining, ore mining and underground storage. According to the INSPIRE data specification Production and Industrial Facilities (D2.8.III.8_v3.0), the contents of the card are INSPIRE compliant. The WMS contains the following layers: - PF.ElectricityGasSteamAndAirConditioningSupply: This section covers the activity of providing electricity, natural gas, steam, hot water and the like through a fixed infrastructure (network) of pipelines, mains and pipes. The dimension of the network is not crucial; this includes the distribution of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and the like in industrial parks or residential buildings. - PF.Manufacturing: This section covers the physical or chemical transformation of materials, substances or components into new products, although this cannot be the only universal criterion used to define manufacturing. The materials, substances or components processed are raw materials, products of agriculture, forestry, fishing, mining or quarries and products of other production activities. - PF.MiningAndQuarrying: Mining and quarries include the extraction of naturally occurring minerals as solids (coal and ores), liquids (petroleum) or gases (natural gas). Extraction is carried out by various methods such as underground or open-cast mining, well operation, seabed mining, etc. --- The compliant INSPIRE-WMS Production and Industrial Facilities is a view service that delivers data in the annex schema Production and Industrial Facilities (derived from the original data set: Operating sites for exploration, extraction and storage mining Brandenburg). It provides an overview of the locations of exploration, extraction, remediation and storage mining operations in Brandenburg and Berlin, divided into lignite mining, stone and earth mining, borehole mining, ore mining and underground storage. The content of the map is compliant to the INSPIRE data specification for the annex theme Production and Industrial Facilities (D2.8.III.8_v3.0). The WMS includes the following layers: - PF.ElectricityGasSteamAndAirConditioningSupply: This section includes the activity of providing electric power, natural gas, steam, hot water and the like through a permanent infrastructure (network) of lines, mains and pipes. The dimension of the network is not decisive; So included are the distribution of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and the like in industrial parks or residential buildings. - PF.Manufacturing: This section includes the physical or chemical transformation of materials, substances, or components into new products, although this cannot be used as the single universal criterion for defining manufacturing. The materials, substances, or components transformed are raw materials that are products of agriculture, forestry, fishing, mining or quarrying as well as products of other manufacturing activities. - PF.MiningAndQuarrying: Mining and quarrying include the extraction of minerals occurring naturally as solids (coal and ores), liquids (petroleum) or gases (natural gas).
