synthesis of the sterically saturated uranium(IV) complex U[N(SiMe3)2]4 (1) is demonstrated
from the one-electron oxidation of U[N(SiMe3)2]3 with a variety of oxidants in THF. A high yielding
synthesis of 1 directly from UI3(THF)4 is provided.
