CH4 concentration, the isotopic composition of O2 and N2, and the O2/N2/Ar ratio of clean, disturbed ice from the GISP2 core

This data set contains information on the isotopic composition and concentration of gases in Arctic ice cores. Included are Greenland cores GISP2, GRIP, Dye 3, and Canadian cores from Baffin, Ellesmere, Devon, and Penny Islands. Measured properties include the concentration and isotopic composition of O2, N2, and Ar, and the methane concentration in the case of GISP2 samples.

The GISP2 samples are from the disturbed clean ice ranging from about 2850-3040 m depth. Data are used to reconstruct climate at Summit, Greenland, during the Eemian. Data for other sites are used to reconstruct aspects of the chronology.
