Census Tracts Boston (2020)

Census Tracts are small geographic subdivisions of a county, designed by the U.S. Census Bureau to track population change over time. A census tract population ranges from 1,200 to 8,000 people. Because population and housing in census tracts change over time, census tract boundaries in shapefiles are updated after each Decennial Census. U.S. Census TIGER/Line boundaries were clipped to align with Boston’s citywide extent.
