Rift Valley Fever Virus from a patient with Undifferentiated Febrile Illness at Marigat Sub-District Hospital, Kenya

The study investigates the phylogenomic relationship of RVFV obtained from a patient with undifferentiated fever in Marigat County in Kenya. RVF is a priority zoonotic disease in Kenya and is considered enzootic in arid and semi-arid regions of Kenya i.e. the Coast, Eastern, and North Eastern regions, where the virus is maintained in a cycle between mosquitoes and ruminants. This work contributes to genome surveillance efforts for RVFV.
