The concentration of 15 elements in fine roots and the data of community structure survey

The data file contains two datasets. 1. The concentration of 15 elements (C, N, K, Ca, Mg, S, Al, P, Fe, Mn, Na, Zn, Cu, Ni, and Co) in the fine roots of 281 plant species at eight forest sites crossing five forest types along the North–South transect in eastern China. 2. Community structure survey of the tree, shrub, and herb communities at eight forest sites. Vegetation parameters include species number, plant height, diameter at breast height (DBH) for all trees with DBH ≥ 2 cm or basal stem diameter for shrubs, and aboveground live biomass of each herbaceous species.
