Using a mouse model of lupus skin disease, we find that skin-infiltrating CD4+ and CD8+ T cells express high levels of HIF-1 and demonstrate a strong cytotoxic signature. We performed bulk RNA seq of sorted CD4+ and CD8+ T cells from MRL/lpr spleen and skin to understand the role of HIF1 in promoting lupus skin disease.
