The invention relates to a setting tool for driving securing elements into a substrate， comprising a recess which is provided for accommodating a securing element， a drive-in element which is provided to transfer a securing element accommodated in the recess along a setting axis into the substrate， a drive which is provided for driving the drive-in element along the setting axis towards the securing element， wherein the drive has an electrical capacitor which has two electrodes， which are each arranged on a carrier film wound about an winding axis， wherein an extension of the capacitor in the direction if the winding axis is at most as great as an extension of the capacitor perpendicular to the winding axis.
