This bibliometric study illustrates the evolution of HIFU for uterine fibroids, from initial exploration to accelerated development and ongoing refinement. The relevant literature has grown annually, demonstrating significant multi-disciplinary integration and broad international collaboration, though cooperation between Chinese and Western research efforts requires further strengthening. Key areas warranting future attention include: the development of patient selection models for HIFU; comparative effectiveness studies against other treatment modalities; the rate of re-intervention; and, crucially, the evaluation of long-term outcomes, particularly those related to fertility.
