As part of the Pathogen Surveillance in Agriculture Food and the Environment (PATH-SAFE) programme, this study was designed to take a snapshot of the diversity of Salmonella in wastewater from across Scotland using Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS). Strains successfully sequenced were isolated from samples of 44 sewage treatment works between November 2022 and January 2023 by the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA).
