资源简介:

Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of irreversible blindness worldwide and remains a major challenge in modern ophthalmology. The aim of this study was to evaluate modern clinical approaches to glaucoma treatment and determine their effectiveness in controlling disease progression and preserving visual function. A total of 30 patients with primary open-angle glaucoma participated in the study and were divided into two groups. The first group received conventional pharmacological therapy, while the second group underwent comprehensive treatment consisting of topical medications, selective laser trabeculoplasty, and individualized clinical follow-up. The results demonstrated that the comprehensive treatment approach achieved greater reduction in intraocular pressure, better preservation of the retinal nerve fiber layer, slower progression of visual field defects, and higher patient satisfaction compared with conventional treatment. No serious treatment-related complications were observed during the follow-up period. These findings indicate that modern clinical management combining pharmacological therapy, laser treatment, and regular monitoring provides superior clinical outcomes and contributes to the long-term preservation of visual function in patients with glaucoma.
