Weekly development Euro Stoxx 50 2020-2024

The Euro Stoxx 50 index, comprised of the 50 blue-chip companies from eight eurozone countries, lost around one-third of its value between February 16 and March 8, 2020, owing to the economic impact of the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. It has since recovered, surpassing its pre-corona level in April 2021. As of October 13, 2024, it valued at 4,957.55 index points.The Euro Stoxx 50 index is considered the most important pan-European stock index, capturing 50 of the eurozone's largest companies across a wide range of sectors. Over two-thirds of the assets included in the index are either French or German.
