Bachner Site (XBD-155) 2022 Artifact Log, Quartz Lake, Alaska, 2022

This provides a log of all artifacts collected and accessioned from the Bachner Site, Quartz Lake during the 2022 field season by the University of Wyoming crew led by Dr. Bree Doering. Material results from 3.25 inch auger tests and full scale excavations. Excavations were conducted in 5 centimeter (cm) arbitrary levels in 50 x 50 cm quads within 1 meter (m) units. All material larger than 1 cm or diagnostic material was three point provenienced and collected in situ. All other material was collected from 1/8th inch screen. Feature sediments and some other geological samples were collected as a bulk. This research was conducted to build on our understanding of long term human-environmental relations spanning the Late Pleistocene to the present in central Alaska.
