ICD-10 Cardiopulmonary Perioperative Outcomes Code Set (Supplementary Dataset)

This dataset contains the ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS diagnostic and procedural codes used to define cardiopulmonary outcomes in perioperative research. The code set was developed for analyses of perioperative exposure to environmental stressors (e.g., air pollution, extreme heat) and bundled into composite cardiopulmonary outcome definitions, as well as for selected sub-analyses of individual outcomes. Contents: PDF table listing ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for cardiopulmonary outcomes with categories including pneumonia, respiratory failure, pulmonary embolism, myocardial infarction, heart failure, arrhythmias, surgical complications, and related outcomes. N.B. this dataset does not contain patient-level data. The dataset is provided to enhance transparency and reproducibility of outcome definitions in perioperative and environmental epidemiology research. Users may adapt or extend this code set for related studies.
