Whole genome sequencing and admixture analysis of sable (Martes zibellina), pine marten (Martes martes) and their hybrids from sympatric zone

Sable (Martes zibellina) and pine marten (Martes martes) are valuable species. In the sympatric zone of these closely related mustelid species, hybrids known as "kidases" appear. We performed whole-genome sequencing of sables, pine martens, and their hybrids from various parts of their ranges to study genetic diversity and elucidate hybridization at the whole-genome level. The data will provide a new source for the study of the evolution, phylogeny, conservation, and management of sable and pine marten.
