Giraffe translated keratin proteins

This folder contains the translated keratin proteins from the Giraffe reference genome (NCBI Genome assembly ASM1828223v1/ GenBank assembly GCA_018282235.1) along with the bash and python scripts used to generate them.The giraffe reference genome (or any other genome you want to translate) should be placed inside the "Reference_Genome" folder.The scripts, reference and the translated proteins are all found within the "Protein_Translation/Manual_Translation" folder. If you want to re-run the bash scripts to generate the translations, make sure to a) have the required tools installed (see README.txt) and b) that the reference genome file name matches that inside the bash scripts.
