资源简介:
This data set was acquired in 2022 during an experiment at the Gofar Transform Fault called Characterizing an Earthquake Rupture Barrier using Electrical Resistivity from Underwater Soundings (CERBERUS). The data set includes recordings of magnetotelluric (MT) and controlled-source electromagnetic (CSEM) signals during five deep-tows of an active EM source. The data were collected using the Scripps Institution of Oceanography Marine EM Laboratory MK-III ocean-bottom electromagnetometers (OBEMs), towed Vulcan receivers (Tow 1 only), and the Scripps Undersea Electromagnetic Source Instrument (SUESI). The electromagnetic time-series raw data files are in binary format. Channels are Hx, Hy, Ex, and Ey. Matlab reading routines are available at http://marineemlab.ucsd.edu/Projects/lcplot/. The instruments and data format are described at https://marineemlab.ucsd.edu/instruments/. Supplementary logs are provided for processing the time-series into magnetotelluric responses and controlled-source electromagnetic responses and for navigation of SUESI along the five deep-tows. See Key & Constable (2021) [DOI: 0.1007/s11001-021-09427-z] for details on the inverted long-baseline navigation system ("barracuda") used to navigate the deep-tow transmitter. The data set was generated as part of the project called Porosity Structure and Earthquake Rupture Dynamics at the GOFAR Fracture Zone. Funding was provided by NSF award OCE19-22528 and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Postdoctoral Scholar Program.
