Replication package: Does AI Governance Attract Technology? Institutional Readiness and Technology Transfer Channels in Latin America

Replication package for the working paper "Does AI Governance Attract Technology? Institutional Readiness and Technology Transfer Channels in Latin America," prepared for the IV SIE-YSI Pre-Conference (67th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Italian Economic Association, University of Cagliari, October 24, 2026). Contains a fully reproducible Python analysis script (analysis.py), the raw World Bank World Development Indicators export used, the merged analytic dataset, and correlation/regression outputs. The package documents a data-quality correction identified in the official ILIA 2025 country-profile publication (CEPAL/CENIA): El Salvador's published governance sub-index total was found to be a copy-paste duplicate of Uruguay's value; a corrected score was recomputed from El Salvador's own sub-components using the official weighting formula. Full details in README.md. v2.0 adds trade openness and institutional quality (WGI) controls to the regression, plus a sensitivity analysis addressing an outlier in the FDI channel (Uruguay).
