Settlement tiles

Data from the EcoRRAP settlement tiles. Five PVC settlement tiles were deployed in 2021 at each EcoRRAP zone, as well as adjacent reef flat sites. The tiles remained in situ for two years and were then collected and processed during the expeditions in 2023. The following data were collected for each tile: weight of sediments on tile surface, number of coral recruits, dry weight of growth on tile and photographs for community composition. Metabolic incubations were conducted to determine rates of light and dark calcification, and photosynthesis and respiration, from tiles at the main reefs per cluster.
