Geobacillus thermoleovorans S-07 (GenBank accession: KU588289, CGMCC ID: 12382) was previously isolated from pharmaceutical sludge in Zhejiang and has been demonstrated effectiveness in degrading sulfonamides at a temperature of 70°C. The genomic characteristics and thermophilic biodegradation mechanism of Geobacillus sp. S-07 on sulfamethazine has also been explored recently. The genomic DNA of strain S-07 was extracted using the Wizard® Genomic DNA Purification Kit (Promega, USA) following the manufacturer's protocols. Purified DNA was quantified utilizing the TBS-380 fluorometer (Turner BioSystems Inc., Sunnyvale, CA) and sequenced on the PacBio RS II Single Molecule Real-Time (SMRT) and Illumina sequencing platforms (Majorbio Bio-pharm Technology Co., Ltd. Shanghai, China).The genome of strain S-07 is 3.61 Mb, housing a total of 3,607 annotated genes. This genome comprised a 3.55 Mb chromosome and a plasmid (named plasmid_A07), with GC contents of approximately 52.03% and 40.48%, respectively.
