Direct numerical simulation of turbulent Ekman flow (Re=500)

The netCDF file in the dataset includes grid information and the date of creation of the data on the High-Performance Computing (HPC) system. In this simulation Re=500 based on laminar Ekman layer thickness. We investigate the turbulent flow using a computational grid with dimensions of 2048 x 2048 x 192 and a spatial resolution of 4.1 × 4.1 × 1.05 in terms of wall units. The domain size is scaled to 1.08 in terms of the Rossby radius. This dataset also contains a PDF file outlining the simulation setup and description of the variables contained in the netCDF files.
