Ground Vibration Dataset Supporting Numerical Replication of Dynamic Compaction

In this repository, five main folders are provided: Nonlinear constitutive model, Python script API, PLAXIS simulations, Mesh sensitivity analysis, and Field-measured data. A README text file explains the contents of each folder. The purpose of providing these data is to allow other researchers to utilize the supplied tools and to promote transparency in the research field. However, not every simulation is included in the repository, as more than 100 simulations were conducted, as reported in the manuscript. For each case study (Helsinki & Gdańsk) and each constitutive model (linear elastic, nonlinear elastic, Hardening with small-strain stiffness case 1 and case 2), one representative example is provided. The remaining simulations can be reproduced using the provided data or requested from the corresponding author. Regarding field measurements, both the signals generated by the falling tamper and all available measurements related to the study are fully provided, along with their post-processing. The sensitivity analysis is included through both simulation files and convergence plot. In addition to the aforementioned files, a supplementary PDF document is provided. This document summarizes all supplementary figures referenced in the manuscript, enabling readers to easily locate and understand the study results without requiring a PLAXIS license or the need to open and/or run simulations, while also saving space in the main manuscript.
