Genome dissection of Streptococcus dysgalactiae. Streptococcus dysgalactiae

Streptococcus dysgalactiae is a gram-positive bacterium infecting both human and animal. S. dysgalactiae has currently been classified into the two subspecies; S. dysgalactiae subspecies equisimilis and S. dysgalactiae subspecies dysgalactiae. This bacterium causes the disease ranging from superficial skin-infections and tonsillitis, to severe necrotising fasciitis and bacteraemia. The aim of our study is to reveal the genomic characterization of S. dysgalactiae based on the comprehensive genome analysis.
