The dataset supports manoeuvring assessment of an unmanned surface vehicle using standard Turning Circle (TC) and Zig-Zag (ZZ) manoeuvres. The data were generated to support repeatable and auditable manoeuvring analysis, IMO/ITTC-aligned metric extraction, and downstream system identification or digital-twin calibration workflows. The dataset includes six manoeuvre files: - TC_PORT.csv: Turning Circle manoeuvre to port - TC_STBD.csv: Turning Circle manoeuvre to starboard - ZZ10_PORT.csv: Zig-Zag 10 degree/10 degree manoeuvre, port-first - ZZ10_STBD.csv: Zig-Zag 10 degree/10 degree manoeuvre, starboard-first - ZZ20_PORT.csv: Zig-Zag 20 degree/20 degree manoeuvre, port-first - ZZ20_STBD.csv: Zig-Zag 20 degree/20 degree manoeuvre, starboard-first Folder structure:iSCSS26_Vessel_Manoeuvring_Dataset_v1/|-- README_Dataset.txt|-- data/| |-- TC_PORT.csv| |-- TC_STBD.csv| |-- ZZ10_PORT.csv| |-- ZZ10_STBD.csv| |-- ZZ20_PORT.csv| |-- ZZ20_STBD.csv|-- metadata/| |-- column_descriptions.csv| |-- LICENSE.txt Data files:The data files are stored in CSV format. Each file contains synchronised vessel-state, heading, actuation, propulsion, and derived manoeuvring variables recorded during one virtual sea-trial manoeuvre. The full list of columns and descriptions is provided in: metadata/column_descriptions.csv Intended use:This dataset may be used for: - manoeuvring assessment of unmanned surface vehicles - hydrodynamic system identification - digital-twin calibration - validation of actuation-traceable simulation workflows Limitations:The dataset was generated in a simulation environment. Some quantities, particularly propulsion variables such as rpm, torque_Nm, power_W, tau_z, and rudder-equivalent actuation variables, should be interpreted as simulation-consistent proxies rather than direct physical measurements.
