This project investigates the molecular mechanism by which Icariin (ICA), a natural compound from Epimedium, suppresses breast cancer progression. RNA sequencing and experimental validation demonstrated that ICA upregulates the expression of MT1X, thereby promoting ferroptosis and inhibiting activation of the NF-KB signaling pathway. The study provides novel insights into the ferroptosis-inducing and anti-cancer effects of traditional Chinese herbal compounds in breast cancer treatment.
