Bicyclol ameliorates lithogenic diet-induced cholesterol gallstone by modulating FXR signaling mediated bile acid metabolism

Cholesterol gallstone (CG) is a common digestive disorder associated with abnormal bile acid metabolism. Bicyclol(BIC) is a traditional clinical transaminase-lowering drug that has been shown to modulate bile acid metabolism. However, whether BIC can treat CG remains unknown, so we endeavored to explore the effects of BIC on mice with CG caused by a lithogenic diet and the associated mechanisms.
