资源简介:
The whole genome sequencing (WGS) of Kamptonema formosum NRMC-F0408 is performed to identify and characterize secondary metabolite producing gene clusters in the genome of the cyanobacteria isolated from Uyyakondan River, geographically located at latitude 10 49 00.6 N and longitude 78 39 49.3 E, Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu, India. Genomic examination is used to categorize PKS (polyketide synthase) and NRPS (non-ribosomal peptide synthetase) gene clusters are responsible for the biosynthesis of a wide array of secondary metabolites like antibiotics and siderophores is responsible for antimicrobial compound synthesis and metabolic pathways involving the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites. The data obtained from WGS will aid in understanding the genomic features of antimicrobial metabolite production and contribute to the discovery of novel bioactive compounds from Kamptonema formosum NRMC-F0408, helping to inhibit the multidrug resistant bacterial pathogens.
