Report on survey season Davis Jan 1989. 21 working days 31/12/88 - 24/1/89 - aims: Triennial monitoring of water levels in the saline lake system; undertake setting out and detail surveys as separately specified for the Australian Construction Services, Surveys as required for control of SPOT satellite imagery planned to be acquired over the region during this season; carry out photo control and or detail surveys at Atlas Cove, Heard Island. Text plus colour prints.The aims of the 1988/1989 summer season surveying and mapping program in the Vestfold Hills and on Heard Island are as follows:1) Carry out the triennial monitoring of water levels in the saline lake system.2) Undertake setting out and detail surveys as separately specified for the Australian Construction Services.3) Carry out surveys as required for control of SPOT satellite imagery planned to be acquired over the region during the 88/89 summer season.4) Carry out photo control and/or detail surveys, etc at Atlas Cove, Heard Island.
