Data and Rscripts associated with the manuscript: "Warming simplifies marine ecological networks through losses in trophic and non-trophic interactions"

This repository contains the data and code underlying the analyses in the article "Warming simplifies marine ecological networks through losses in trophic and non-trophic interactions". The uploaded material includes: 1. KOB18 Foodweb (metaweb) and referencesA metaweb with all trophic interactions. Predator-prey interactions and their corresponding literature sources are provided. (KOB18_trop_interactions_meta) 2. KOB18 Non-trophic interaction dataset with referencesA compiled list of non-trophic (mutualism, commensalism, competition, amensalism) interactions with literature references (KOB18_non_trop_interactions_meta). 3. Energy-flux and food-web metric scriptsThe R script (KOB18_pw_2025_Z.R) used to calculate energy fluxes with the fluxweb package (Gauzens et al. 2019) and to compute food web metrics using custom code (functions supplied in a separate script called Tools_Z.R, with acknowledgements to code contributors). 4. Biological and experimental dataDatasets including: Tank harmonized species biomasses and mean bodymasses List of species present in the KOB18 experiment (sp_list) Predator prey interaction list (plA) Aggregated biomasses and food web metrics/functions 5. Statistical analysis scripts (GAMs)Generalized Additive Model (GAM) script used to analyse changes in the biomass and in the food web metrics/functions (GOM_KOB2018_2025_z.R). Together, these files provide the workflow necessary to reproduce the analyses and figures presented in the manuscript.
