Pepper drought stress

A C. annuum inbred line, at three development stages, was subjected to acute water stress up to the withering threshold which was followed by a recovery phase (rewatering). With the goal to identify stage-specific and common core sets of differentially expressed genes (DEGs), RNA-Seq was performed from leaf tissues of plants at each development stage, and when subjected to water stress as well recovery.
