Behavioral statistics for comparison of flies with dietary and transgenic manipulations.

Five flies were used in each experiment. Numbers presented are averages over 2 minutes of tracking observations at 60 frames/sec with standard errors below in parentheses. Increase indicates the ratio of activity of experimental and control flies. A. Oregon-R wild type male flies fed 1.0% H2O2 and controls, assayed at three-hour intervals after contact with drug for one hour. B. Time interval where suppression of diurnal rhythms by H2O2 resulted in experimental flies that were less active than control. The first time point is 9.5 hours after the flies were exposed to H2O2. C. Flies with MnSOD(2)12 over-expression (+DOX) and (-DOX) controls, assayed at three-hour intervals.
