A mapping population of 245 F5 individuals was derived by single-seed descent from the cross 'Arina' x 'Forno'. The individuals were genotyped with SSR primer-pairs, size-selected random genomic probes derived from wheat and barley, cDNA probes from barley and oat and cDNA clones coding for proteins with known or potential function in stress/defense against pathogens.
