The Global Harmful Algal Bloom Database (HAEDAT) is a dedicated repository documenting global harmful algal bloom (HAB) events and their socio-economic impacts. As a core component of the "Harmful Algae Information System" established by institutions including the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO (IOC-UNESCO), it primarily collects reported HAB event records for the ICES region (North Atlantic) since 1985 and the PICES region (North Atlantic) since 2000.
