Leap to Large Session 1: Foundations for large-scale success and impact

Large-scale science and engineering research projects have transformative potential in society. Success in these large research projects depends not just on scientific merit, but also on organizational and institutional factors: stakeholder alignment, performance measurement, project leadership, data management, people development, and bridging across fields and disciplines. The “Leap to Large” seminar series on these topics drew approximately 250 to 700 participants over seven sessions, six of which were preceded by a stakeholder mapping survey.
