Porcine dendritic cell subset in vitro activation by Toll like receptor ligands.. Porcine in vitro DC activation

The present study investigated the transcriptomic response of porcine dendritic cells (DC) to innate stimulation in vitro. The aim was to identify DC subset-specialization, and suitable toll like receptor (TLR) ligands targeting plasmacytoid DC (pDC). After identification porcine conventional DC (cDC) 1, cDC2, pDC and a monocyte-derived subset in lymphoid tissue, we characterize DC activation using transcriptomics. TO this end blood DC subsets were purified by FACS sorting and stimulated with TLR ligands for 4h, followed by mRNA sequencing.
