A report containing general and specific ecological characteristics of steelhead trout in every major creek/watershed that contain them along entire California coast south of San Francisco. In Santa Cruz county 34 streams were reviewed. In Monterey county 35 streams/waterways were reviewed. n San Luis Obipso county 29 streams were reviewed. Each watershed reviewed contains some or all of the following information: morphometric data(standard lengths, weights), demographic data(age class spread, density of juveniles, smolts, adults) habitat quality, number of reds, survival rates, sediment sources, and hatchery stocking.
