Vascular endothelial dysfunction constitutes a pivotal initiating event in atherosclerosis pathogenesis, characterized by upregulated inflammatory factors, elevated reactive oxygen species production, and excessive nitric oxide depletion. The exogenous delivery of NO, while minimizing adverse effects on human body, presents a potent strategy for maintaining vascular homeostasis during pathological events. Herein, a natural NO booster that can be triggered by ultrasound and release NO on demand is constructed. This system uses GSNO as the NO donor and fucoidan due to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
