Ex vivo WT zebrafish ERG data for the paper Tricaine methanesulfonate (MS-222) alters zebrafish ex vivo electroretinogram responses during direct retinal exposure. Data are provided as raw .abf files, recorded via Clampex (Molecular Devices). ICE — fish anesthetized via rapid ice cooling MS-222 — fish anesthetized via brief exposure to 0.05% MS-222 Prolonged exposure — fish anesthetized with 0.05% MS-222, followed by bath application of MS-222 (200 mg/L) All fish euthanized using a single-edged razor blade. Within each experiment type, recordings are further organized by the pharmacological agents applied, in order of collection: note: Barium chloride-only recordings were collected as part of the pharmacological perfusion sequence but were not used in the final manuscript analyses. All other data were included in the final anlayses. ICE & MS-222 experiments: no drugs → BaCl₂ → LAP4/BaCl₂ Prolonged exposure experiments: control → MS-222 bath → recovery Files are grouped by experiment type, then by pharmacological condition. Within each condition, file names indicate the stimulus parameters used: nd — neutral density filter applied to the LED stimulus Xp (e.g., 3p) — LED intensity, expressed as a percentage of maximum File format: .abf files can be opened with: Molecular Devices Clampfit (part of the free pCLAMP software suite) pyABF (open-source Python library) Stimfit (open-source alternative)
