The New Education Revolution with Artificial Intelligence From Testing (B) to Cultivating (F) F is What Distinguishes Us and Unites Us

Every day, millions of students sit in examination halls, writing answers to information they have memorized, only to forget it after the exam. Years later, they graduate with certificates proving they were able to store a certain amount of knowledge and retrieve it at a specific moment. Then, most of them face a job market that does not ask them about that knowledge, but about their ability to think, solve problems, and make ethical decisions. At the same time, artificial intelligence is developing at a pace beyond imagination. Today, machines memorize millions of books, retrieve information in seconds, translate between languages, write sophisticated texts, analyze data, and even pass entrance exams for major universities with success. The problem is not with artificial intelligence. The problem is that we still test, in most of our schools and universities, that in which the machine excels, and then we are surprised when students feel fear that the machine might replace them or from using it. This paper is a call for an educational revolution. A revolution that begins with a simple question: What can the human offer that the machine cannot offer?
