Digital Archive for Archaeological Investigations at Avanti Fields School, Leicester, Leicestershire, 2019-2020

This collection comprises the digital images, project data spreadsheets, and GIS data from two phases of work, undertaken by Worcestershire Archaeology at Avanti Fields School, Leicester. An archaeological evaluation and earthwork survey was carried out during September to November 2019. Thirteen evaluation trenches were excavated. Two features of later prehistoric date and one undated gully were identified. An archaeological excavation was subsequently undertaken between March and May 2020. The project was commissioned by Orion Heritage on behalf of BAM Construct UK, in advance of the construction of a school building and sports hall with associated external recreation areas, sports facilities, access and landscaping.
