A reference dataset of 66 high-quality plastid genomes spanning diverse algal lineages

This dataset comprises 66 complete plastid genomes assembled and annotated in this study. The raw sequencing data were sourced from David R. Nelson et al. (2024) macroalgal genomic research, which generated whole-genome sequencing data for 110 algal species publicly available in the NCBI Sequence Read Archive (SRA).From this dataset, we downloaded raw next-generation sequencing data for corresponding species for chloroplast genome assembly, annotation, and comparative analysis. Additionally, two datasets from the NCBI SRA database (DRR468822 and ERR4332233) were included.
