Ceutorhynchus scrobicollis temperature thresholds for oviposition and development, climate station data, and Degree-day model

This dataset includes raw data for experiments conducted on the biological temperature thresholds of the garlic mustard weevil, Ceutorhynchus scrobicollis, in a Biosafety Level 2 containment facility. Included are the results of oviposition and development rates in response to temperature treatments in controlled lab environments. The temperatures reported from HOBO data loggers within the controlled growth chamber environments where experiments were held are also included, as well as the length and width measurements of the parent population of field-collected C. scrobicollis weevils shipped from Germany. The NOAA_station_data file contains the climate station data that was parsed and used to create a voronoi diagram of CDD values mapped across the Great Lakes Basin in North America and Europe. The CDD_maps.R file contains the scripts for producing these maps. Finally, US_CA_sym_diff shapefile contains the North America borders with the southern region below which garlic mustard cannot complete vernalization removed.
