Data Supporting the Validation study of MFM-Play App

The MFM-Play app was developed by DOWiNO Studio (Lyon, France) in collaboration with clinicians from the neuromuscular disease reference centre at the Hospices Civils de Lyon. The app standardizes administration guidelines for the 32 items of the Motor Function Measure (MFM) through age-appropriate, space-themed interactive scenarios. Scores are recorded directly on a tablet, and assessments can be exported in CSV format. The dataset deposited here includes de-identified MFM assessment data collected in a multicentre prospective study of children and adults with neuromuscular diseases aged 2–60 years. It contains MFM item scores, along with basic clinical descriptors such as age group, ambulatory status, diagnosis category, assessment mode (MFM-Play or conventional), and assessment time. For each session volition or satisfaction data is also provided when available. Data are anonymized and were collected in accordance with French regulations for research involving human participants and with approval from the relevant ethics committee.
