Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome virus (SFTSV) and spotted fever group Rickettsia (SFGR) are tick-borne infectious diseases. We investigated the prevalence of rickettsiosis co-infection in patients with SFTS. To our knowledge, this is the first case in which 7.9% of these patients were co-infected with <i>Rickettsia monacensis</i> based on molecular testing.
