资源简介:
Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) systems are a specific application of extended producer responsibility (EPR) policy in which a refundable deposit is charged at the point-of-sale for beverage containers. Upon return of empty containers, consumers can recoup the full deposit, often at retailers or dedicated depots. This indicator provides information on the existence of a DRS, its geographical scope (national, regional, or combination), the types of containers covered (plastic, food and drink cartons, cans, or glass), the legal basis of the scheme (mandatory or voluntary), and the operational status (law passed, legally binding regulations, approved policy or strategy, or planning stage) of the DRS system.
