Raw 16S rRNA gene sequencing data of Ulva compressa

This dataset contains raw 16S rRNA gene sequencing data of Ulva compressa biofilms. The samples were collected on 2024-05-31 in Germany. Experimental Context: The biofilm samples were cultivated on substrates (polyamide/polylactic acid) in brine medium within plate units. The study examines microbial community succession over time in a marine-like environment. Detailed environmental metadata, including environmental medium (brine), local context (microbial mat biofilm), and broad-scale context (marine biome), are provided in the attached metadata file. File Structure: reads.zip: Contains all raw paired-end FASTQ files. ENA_MIxS_microbial_mat_biofilm_filled_v1.0.0.tsv: Contains the full MIxS-compliant metadata for each reads and samples, including collection dates, geographic coordinates, and environmental ontologies. fastq_runs_v1.0.0.tsv: Contains the run-level information, mapping individual FASTQ files to their respective sample aliases, library strategies, and instrument parameters, ensuring consistency for your future ENA data registration. Usage: This data is currently under analysis and provided for peer review purposes.
